BGB Podcast #19 – What Are You Made Of?
Some board games, like Azul, look good enough to eat. But you shouldn’t do this. You should not put board game pieces in your mouth. Don’t ask me why I know that.
What would a board game be without components? Just rules and a box, I guess. Think about it. No wait, I guess that’s not especially profound, stop thinking about it. But there is something about the sheer joy of well made components, of high production values, of seeing a game, nay, a work of art, laid out on the table before you. Before we pick up our pieces, we talk about Wildcatters, Bärenpark, Chimera, Star Cartel, and Council of 4.
