Mage Knight Board Game

From Board Game Barrage Wiki

A very long, rules-heavy, decision-packed game of travelling a fantasy countryside, delving ruins, fighting monsters, gathering followers, learning spells, acquiring artifacts, and eventually conquering cities. Vlaada Chvatil's Mage Knight is, at its core, about playing your hand in the most efficient way turn after turn, and it is most frequently played solo but can be played cooperatively or competitively.

While we tend to enjoy games across the whole spectrum, there's something particular about sinking your teeth into a really heavy game. Before things get heavy, we talk about Barony, Bausack, Whitehall Mystery, and Dead Reckoning.

Return of the Bob! If you don't know what a BGBBOB, boy you've missed out. Twelve games enter, and, well, they all exit, but only once they've been arranged in the appropriate order via a series of one on one fights. There's only so much space on our shelves, so games don't always stick around forever, but that doesn't always mean that we don't like them. There are many reasons that a good game might get the boot, so let's talk about them. We count down our top five favourite games we got rid of! Kellen's back, which some might say is too many hosts - apt, because we're an episode of extremes today. We're talking about games that are too simple, too complicated, too short, or too long, that might otherwise have been among our favourites. Board game rules, unlike other rules, were not made to be broken.
